How do you develop your business in India? Just get out there, urges Robbie Swales, director of Steps, a London-based world-leading company in interactive and drama-based learning.
Having identified India as a market for potential growth, he was disconcerted by the disparity between initial enthusiasm and the subsequent silence. Swales spent a week learning about doing business in India at the Indian Institute of Management in Ahmedabad and subsequently going on a UKTI trade mission.

Communicate that you are in India for the long term.
Make sure that you have someone local on the ground.
And get out there yourself – “nothing beats personal contact.”
