Recommendations, likes, and praises are coming in from you about inspiring businesses.

Some of you already have. And what a variety! They range from the local, such as the Kente Coffee Shop in Sydenham and the Pensarnnie Cafe in Pensarn, near Abergele (and which gets a great review in TripAdvisor) to the multinational enterprise. Here are some of the companies that inspire you.

Old Town Clothing, which makes individually cut jackets, trousers and dresses from a workshop in Holt, Norfolk, and uses British cottons, woollens and linens wherever possible.

5 Point Plus, whose five point car seat harness prevents children from slipping their harness. A brilliant idea.

BaaBaa Design, a graphic and web design agency based in the beautiful countryside of North Wales but whose customers are nationwide.

Access4Lofts, a family-run loft-ladder installation and loft space provider based in Plymouth.

Vegware, whose 200 completely compostable food packaging products are available around the world

Cambridge Wood Works, a Community Interest Company that collects, reuses and recycles timber and wood waste

Chemoxy, one of Europe’s largest contract manufacturers of chemicals and evidently committed to apprentices.

Big Finish, a production company and publisher production company and publisher, best known for its range of Doctor Who plays and associated spin-offs, has been nominated as a “great small British business.”

Oracle Cycles is an online bike shop.
